Jennifer Ivany is a large animal veterinarian from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (Canada). She is currently completing a large animal surgery residency at Ohio State University, after completing a one-year internship in Food Animal Medicine at Iowa State. She will graduate at the end of June with her Master's degree and residency certificate. After that time, she will be returning to Iowa to start working for a local large animal clinic, and finish planning the wedding.
Jennifer grew up in Charlottetown, and occasionally finds herself a little land-locked in the USA, after being used to the ocean within 5 minutes' drive. However, she is learning to see fields of grass and corn as a different kind of ocean! After graduating from high school, Jennifer went to Denmark for a year as a Rotary exchange student, where she was lucky enough to travel much of Europe and learn a new language. She then returned to Canada and went to the University of Guelph, near Toronto, for her undergrad degree in Animal Science. She then got the lucky news that she was accepted into veterinary school, so she returned home to PEI to attend veterinary school. Following vet school, she did her internship at Iowa State University, where she met Robb, and is now finishing her large animal surgery residency at Ohio State.
Jennifer loves to be outdoors, whether walking, biking, riding horses, or hiking. She also loves to play in her little garden, go dancing with Robb, read lots of books, listen to music of all types, do cross-stitch, and watch old 18th century movies (especially Pride and Prejudice). She is very involved with teaching and with many veterinary associations, including a scholarship committee for the American Association of Bovine Practitioners. She loves cattle, especially calves, and has a soft spot for her little gimpy adoptee named Adelaide. At the moment, she is looking forward to finishing her residency so she won't have to study EVERY night.

Robb Ewoldt is a cattle rancher and farmer from Blue Grass, Iowa. He is currently the main person working on the family farm, with lots of help from his parents, and a few friends that love to play cowboy. He is currently looking for ways to improve the herd calf production and productivity, as well as developing his hay-making business further to increase production and sales to local horse barns.
Robb grew up right on the farm in Blue Grass, so he knows every inch of the land in the area. He attended Iowa State University, where he first majored in history, and then moved to economics. He was actively involved with the rodeo club at Iowa State, and worked at several local farms to gain extra cash to go rodeoing! His favourite job was with the Hellands, where he worked for over four years. One summer he spent in Colorado, working on a ranch as a breaker of new young horses and a tour guide for groups in Estes Park. Following his time at Iowa State, Robb returned to the family farm to start taking over some of the work for his parents. They have about 150 head of cows with their calves, 6 or 7 bulls, two barns full of 2400 feeder hogs, and plenty of cropland and hay.
Robb's major interests relate to cattle and cowboying. He is a great talker, and loves to visit with anyone within earshot. He loves farm shows, cattle sales, and the state fair. He also likes to go dancing, and has gained a new appreciation for Spanish guitar music since he started dating Jenn. Robb has a soft spot for old cowboy music and poetry, loves to rope (people, calves, dummies, trees.....), and is very interested in old saddles and spurs. He's looking forward to the wedding because he won't have to drive that 8 hours to Ohio any longer!
