Jennifer's Version
We met by accident, I suppose, or by luck. I had just moved to Iowa for my veterinary internship and one girl I met there invited me out with her friends one Saturday night. One of those friends just happened to be Robb. We went out dancing at a local country bar, and Robb was more than surprised when he discovered that I could dance a two-step. After that initial meeting, he volunteered to take me to the State Fair, and then took me out dancing several more times. I finally went to his ranch for fall roundup in October, at which time I apparently impressed him by actually saddling my own horse, and riding all day in the rain and cold without complaining. After that, our friendship gradually turned into something more, and about six or seven months after we met, he finally kissed me! The rest is history.

Robb's Version
It all started on a hot sultry night in Ames, Iowa on the 3rd of June 1998. I was visiting some friends for a few days, and going to some trade show in Des Moines. Rick, Jodie, Jeff and I were sitting around the table playing cards. If my memory serves me right, the game was euchre, and Jeff and I were winning. All of a sudden, the door opened and in walked Erryn, Jeff's soon-to-be wife closely followed by a stunning brunette, who promptly walked by and sat as far away in the corner as she could get from me!!!! She said nothing. I wasn't sure what to say or do, so I tried to turn on the country boy charm, which seemed to fail miserably. I've never been the type of guy to give up to easily, so later we went to the local dance hall, and it was there that I was able to show my moves on the dance floor. I think that it was the dancing that finally got her to notice me. It still took quite a bit of effort to actually get an official date, but after a few rodeos, a trip to the state fair, and a fall cattle roundup in the rain, I think that I won her heart.
